Sunday 1/20/19--Aquarius full moon eclipse

A big full moon total eclipse (9:16pm PT), powerful beginning for midwinter essence alignment, key to spring flowering.

Sun, after completing a month in Capricorn, grounded realism at the bottom of our seasonal cycle (reinforced by Saturn and Pluto), now moves into Aquarius, awareness amidst the pattern of our involvements.  Moon, opposite the Sun in flowing feeling Cancer, moves into peak passion Leo (reinforced by Mars and Uranus in Aries, Venus and Jupiter in Sagittarius--grand trine in fire signs), a full moon eclipse there.  Visionary heart is empowered for revolutionary expression.

This is the second of four astrological months in a row (Capricorn through Aries) that begin with a full moon, strong support for progressive development.  Deep feeling anchors us in tender sensitivity (Neptune in Pisces).  Healing soon breaks through resistance (Chiron into Aries 2/18).  Earthy wisdom leads the way (Uranus into Taurus 3/6).

Since 2008, deep power has been shaking the foundation of tense structures, energizing the emergence of nature-based alternatives (Pluto into Capricorn--first time since 1763).  Since 2011, deep mind has been activating self-assertion rooted in core needs (Uranus into Aries, square Pluto in Capricorn for the first time since 1167BC).  After last year's amplified emotional intensity (Jupiter in Scorpio), this year emphasizes philosophical reflection (Jupiter in Sagittarius).  Next year, big energy in grounded nature power (Jupiter joins Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn) will bring comprehensive transformation to life on this planet.  Tonight, a beautiful blood red full moon.
